Access and Accommodations

The session provides information about disability and accommodation services offered to A-State students. ​Join us and learn more about how the office of Access and Accommodation Services works to remove barriers so that students with disabilities can succeed in the college environment.

Campus Card Center and IT Store/Help Desk

This session will provide information on the Access A-State Card. We will provide information on where all your ID card can be used, how to submit your ID photo online, obtain your ID and how to put your Access A-State ID on your phone or watch. You can also find more information and important links in these instructions.

Campus Involvement

You’ll meet some of your best friends and have some of your greatest experiences in college – let us help you get there! With over 150 student organizations, a thriving fraternity and sorority community, opportunities for volunteerism, student government involvement, and campus activity planning, our A-State Leadership Center has something for everyone. In this session we will give you the tools and information to help you connect to others with similar interests and to stay up-to-date on events and leadership opportunities on campus. Come have fun with us and meet some of our current student leaders!

Campus Recreation & Student Wellness

Campus Recreation offers a variety of fitness classes, Intramurals, and Club Sports opportunities. The Red WOLF Center is a state-of-the art fitness facility with gyms, weights, cardio equipment, a rock wall, meeting rooms and more. Join us to learn more about staying active and healthy while at A-State. The Counseling Center offers an array of services and programs to assist students while at A-State. Career Services

Learn in this session how to connect the dots from classroom to career success! Career Services provides career development programming, avenues to network with employers, and assists students with finding employment.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

Financial Aid and Scholarships will present information on how to secure the best financial aid package for your 20-21 academic year.  The information will range from application of aid, accepting aid, viewing aid in the A-State portal, disbursement of aid, to renewing your aid.  After the presentation, Financial Aid and Scholarships Advisors will be available to answer your questions.

General Academic Overview

The session provides an overview for students on what to expect in the first year regarding their college curriculum, registration, and advising.

Honors College 

Honors students can interact with current Honors Ambassadors and staff to learn more about the Honors College community and opportunities to be involved. Honors Ambassadors will discuss the variety of Honors courses available, what it is like to live in the Honors Living-Learning Community (HLLC), activities that are a part of Honors Welcome Week, Honors Study Abroad experiences, Honors Brainy Break, and much more. Conditions permitting, Honors staff will take students on a live tour of the HLLC showroom and the Honors Office and Student Lounge areas.

Learning Support Services

In this session, we’ll discuss the availability of tutorial, academic and other essential support programs available, and how easy it is to take advantage of these resources. Students who participate in academic support programs are more likely to achieve their academic goals. Learn how to leverage services like tutoring, and Student Support Services for your success!

Multicultural Affairs and Non-Traditional Student Services

Students who are passionate about diversity, inclusion and social justice related to student veterans, non-traditional students, and underrepresented identities (race/ethnicity, gender, ability status, etc) are encouraged to attend this session hosted by the Department of Multicultural Affairs. Attendees will learn about student leadership opportunities, cultural programs, social identity student organizations, and educational sessions that will assist with peer networking, personal development, and overall success while at A-State.
