    Cooper Receives Kays Foundation Grant

    Rebecca Cooper, Ecotoxicology Research Facility, will determine heavy metal concentrations in soybean field soils used by native bees. The award amount will be used to purchase supplies for data collection to aid in a larger U.S. Dept of Agri project.

    A-State Wildlife Program Presents

    Western rat snakes are one of the most common big snake species found in Arkansas. Adults are large and usually black in color with some lighter ventral checkerboard coloration. Join Jessica and Cole Harken as they present 'The Western Rat Snake'.

    Drs. Kennon and Carroll successfully launched the 55th high altitude balloon. The balloon carried research instruments to a new ABS altitude record, 105,804 feet (20.04 miles). Onboard cameras captured images and video which the team has posted online.

    Dr. Paul Sikkel is one of the co-authors of an article recently published in Parasitology Research. It documents the first observation of gnathiids feeding on the blood meal of other gnathiids.
