Resident Assistant and Community Assistant

Responsibilities in the paid leadership position of CA/RA are numerous, and the CA/RA is the focal point for the day-to-day operation of his/her area.  The CA/RA is at one time: student, community developer, referral agent, business manager, peer, friend, and disciplinarian.  Simply stated, the RA and CA positions are the most comprehensive student leadership positions attainable at Arkansas State University.  This diversity of roles and responsibilities is challenging and calls on the CA/RA to develop organizational and interpersonal skills.  The position of CA/RA provides an opportunity to maximize self-development, maturity, and confidence during the college years.
