Important Dates for May 2018 Graduation

Online Intent to Graduate Form Due: Friday, January 19th (Friday after classes begin)

When the online intent to graduate form is completed, an automatic email is sent to your campus email account, notifying you of the receipt and directing you to the Graduation Tracker. If you HAVE NOT filled out the intent form, please do so IMMEDIATELY, as you will not be included in any reporting if not coded. Intent forms submitted late may result in the graduate’s name not appearing in the Commencement Program. In addition, the diploma and final transcript will also be delayed.

If you are having difficulty submitting the intent form, please contact the Office of Admissions, Records and Registration at (870) 972-2031 or by email at graduation@astate.edu.

Any student that files an online intent to graduate form but DOES NOT graduate during that same semester will be required to pay the graduation fee when filing the application again.

Undergraduate Checksheets Due: Friday, January 26th

Once the intent form is completed, your advisor will be informed that your checksheet is needed. These are the responsibility of the advisor, and must come directly from the department. Students SHOULD NOT submit checksheets to our office.

  • Thesis/Dissertation Submission to ProQuest/UMI - Fri, March 30th
  • Oral Defense Results Reported to Graduate School - Fri, March 30th
  • Comprehensive Examination Results Reported to Graduate School - Fri, March 30th

Graduation Fee

This fee is required of ALL students when filing an intent to graduate, even if not participating in the ceremony. The fee covers the processing of the paperwork, the printing of the Commencement Program, the Diploma and cover, as well as the attire. This fee will be processed once the online intent form is completed. 

If a student is unable to graduate at the end of the semester for which the intent to graduate application has been made, the student will not receive a refund of the graduation fee and will be required to pay the fee on each subsequent intent to graduate application.

Graduation Fees:

  • Associates - $45.00
  • Bachelors - $60.00
  • Masters - $85.00
  • Specialist - $95.00
  • Doctoral - $125.00

Online Intent to Graduate Form

The online intent to graduate form can be submitted through Self Service by following these steps:

  1. Login to Self Service
  2. Click 'Student'
  3. Click 'Student Records'
  4. Click 'Application/Intent to Graduate'
  5. Select the term you intend to graduate and click 'Submit'
  6. If the curricula is correct select the program and click 'Continue'
    1. If you do not meet the requirements or have already completed your intent form there will not be a program for you to select
    2. If you have a double major (two majors in the same degree) both majors will be listed under the same program
    3. If you have a double degree the programs will be listed separately and you'll have to file twice, once for each program
  7. Select the date you intend to graduate and click 'Continue'
  8. Select whether you intend to attend graduation and click 'Continue'
  9. Select the name you want to appear on your diploma and click 'Continue'
  10. Select the applicable graduation fee and click 'Continue'
  11. If everything on the intent summary is correct click 'Submit'

When the online intent to graduate form is completed an automatic email is sent to your campus email account notifying you of the receipt and directing you to the Graduation Tracker.

Graduation Tracker for Students

Please visit the A-State myCampus portal to access the graduation tracker. The graduation tracker provides personal data on your graduation status. Visit the tracker today to see your information.  Students will have access to the tracker after their intent card is coded in the system.  Once the intent card is coded, students will receive an automated email acknowledging receipt.

Picking Up Your Diploma

Graduating students will be notified when diplomas are available for pickup at the Office of Admissions, Records and Registration in the Student Union following the term of graduation. Diplomas will be mailed only to out-of-town graduates who complete the online form sent to them via email. No diplomas will be mailed to a Jonesboro address. Diplomas will not be distributed to students who have an account balance.


Replacement Diplomas

To obtain a replacement diploma or minor, please see the page below. There is a fee to obtain a replacement and it cannot be scanned and/or mailed electronically.
