ABI Biotechnology Research Internships for Summer 2016

The Arkansas Biosciences Institute (ABI) at ASU is sponsoring the ABI Biotechnology Research Internship this summer. The purpose of the program is to provide basic support for ASU students majoring in the life sciences who wish to gain research experience in areas of life sciences or applications to life sciences during the summer of their sophomore or junior years. REU Site Mechanisms of Evolution-Summer 2016
The UNLV REU Site:Mechanisms of Evolution is accepting applications for summer 2016.

Undergraduate projects funded by the REU Site: Mechanisms of Evolution focus on biological processes, such as mutation, genetic drift, migration, non-random mating and natural selection that drive heritable change. The inspiration for this proposal is the celebrated essay, Nothing in Biology Makes Sense Except in the Light of Evolution by Theodosius Dobzansky.
Research projects are available in the following disciplines: bioinformatics, field ecology, systematics,
molecular biology and physiology
Travel award and double occupancy housing is provided

Summer Intern Program in Geoscience

Deadline: February 29, 2016
Supports 10-week summer internships (June-Aug) for undergraduate students at the Washington DC based Geophysical Laboratory. During the internship, undergraduate students may carry out fundamental investigations in experimental petrology, mineralogy, mineral physics, crystallography, chemistry, or condensed matter physics, the unifying theme being studies at extreme conditions of pressure and/or temperature.
