Night & Evening Classes Canceled Due to Winter Precipitation

Arkansas State University is canceling night and evening classes today, Nov. 14, due to winter precipitation. All academic events, including A-State Theatre, are canceled.

This closure also applies to our Paragould location.

While offices are closed and classes are canceled, university residential life areas continue to operate to support the on-campus student population.

The Red W.O.L.F. Center will close today at 8 p.m.

Everyone in the A-State Community is encouraged to review the Provost’s Inclement Weather Policy for questions regarding university operations during inclement weather.

For More Information

For updates on A-State events, please check the university’s official website AState.edu or social media feeds, Facebook.com/ArkansasState or @ArkansasState on Twitter.

Microforms are full-sized graphics and text reduced to micro-images many times smaller than the original. These micro-images are restored to legible size with the use of special machines called readers and can be copied onto paper by reader/printers.

Microform formats include:
  • Microfiche - A sheet of 4x6 or 3x5 film
  • Microfilm - A continuous strip of 16 or 35 mm film wound on a reel
  • Microcard - An opaque card, usually 3x5 or 6x9

The microform equipment

We have a variety of equipment to serve you. The microform staff ensures that everyone finds what they are looking for and gets a thorough tutorial on how to operate the microform viewing and printing equipment.

Reader/printer

This equipment allows patrons to locate the desired document and make a copy of it. Microform document copies cost 10 cents per page.

Reader/scanner

This equipment allows library patrons to scan microforms and then save them to a 3 1/2" floppy disk or jump drive, or burn them to a CD, or send their scanned microform images as email attachments.

Please make sure that you use the equipment that best meets your needs.

Our Hours

Our equipment is open for use during normal library operating hours, however, staff assistance is only available until 9:00 p.m.
