Acquisitions is responsible for collection development, new material processing, preservation of library materials and continuations monitoring. We also maintain the library's materials budget, inventory the collections and solicit book and serial donations for the library.
On average, we process approximately 5000 requests per year. We also manage 1800 journal subscriptions.

How to request an acquisition?

Faculty may also send requests through campus mail, e-mail to Linda Creibaum or Jan Nelms, or in person. If you have questions regarding materials requests please call the Acquisitions Department (870) 972-3077, or faculty can contact their Departmental Library Liaison.
If there is an item that you need quickly, please state the time frame within which you need it. The quicker it comes, the more it costs, so please take that into consideration. We will contact you when your rush order arrives.
